  • Man, it's been a long time. I drew some pics today. basically just farthians and fairys and polyvectrons and stuff. Yeah, i'll probably post some of them some time. Farthians are still in the working when it comes to how exactly they look. kinda hard to come up with.

heres a short dragon story i made.

It was autumn. The weather had turned cold, and the leaves were changing colors. The squirells were scurrying around collecting food for the winter, stuffing the acorns in their cheeks. parents began reminding their children to wear a sweater when they went outdoors. The harvest came in, and the storage places began to fill. The inhabitants of the cozy village were unaware of what stirred beneath the earth. And then one morning, they all woke up in a different world. The colors and animals had all gone. The brisk cold air had been replaced with a heavy, humid, fog. The sky was dark grey and the streams of water had become bitter.
The horror that filled the minds of the townsfolk was only doubled as the sickening stench of rotting flesh filled their sinuses. The dread of having lost all that they had lived for was almost unbearable, and it was becoming noticeable as housewives collapsed and wept. As they all groped in their minds for a tangible shred of hope, a ear splitting scream filled the stagnate air. It seemed to come from the dry cracks in the ground along with a black smoke which appeared to be the source of the rancid smell. Children, already clinging to their mothers, clung tighter. For a breif moment, no one moved, and besides the occasional cough, it was silent. Suddenly, the howl sounded again, it was closer and even more damaging to the ear. It resounded into and slow wheezing growl and finally became hushed except for the sound of heavy breaths with the rasping sound of corroded lungs. The dirt at the edges of the small fissures began to crumble inward, expanding the width of the holes. As the cracks grew, the open space revealed a deep dark chasm which was filled with more of the ghastly smoke. The air was soon filled with it as it quikly rose from the ground. From the depths of the pit appeared a figure still shadowed by the darkness of its dwelling, and staring firmly in the direction of the horrified villagers was a pair of glowing cat-like eyes. The sickly green eyes with dark slit like pupils fringed with red, blinked, and began to ease closer to the top of the pit. Soon, the shilouette became a solid image as it entered the clouded sunlight. Crawling on all fours and sniffing the air, came an enormous beast with the likeness of a dragon of ancient times. The town recalled the prophecy of the cursed dragon returning from the past and bringing with it, the plague of mercyless death.

  • After a few hours of preparation, they were finally ready to land on this new found planet. Their survival depended on a safe landing, and an inhabitable atmosphere. All odds were good, and Defani was excited as he could be. After three months of drifting, they were finally going to be making a home for themselves.
The technicians were beginning to flip switches and type in coordinates, and Defani eagerly slid into his copilot seat. He and Marraius were  going to guide the ship to a safe landing on the peninsula. "Defani," said Marraius, "Artheneous says we are begin our descent now." "All right." said Defani, "lets do this!".
Marraius hit the switch to unlock the manual pilot controls, and He and Defani strapped themselves in. After confirmations of the system's balance, Marraius rotated the ship and started the boosters. The ship shot like a rocket toward the planet, and they were pulled in by the planet's gravity. Their descent had begun. Marrius turned off the boosters and put on the heat shield, while Defani watched the meters. All was going well. After passing through the turbulence of the entry, Defani began to open the wings. "Sir, we have a problem with the coordinates," a technician said, "The guidance system isn't taking them." "With everything working fine, something was bound to go wrong." muttered Marraius. "Without the guidance system to follow, its going to be hard to land in the right spot. Defani, you're gonna really need to help me on this." "Right." "Now, engage the steering system to the controls. Hurry, we're coming down fast!"
Defani started to engage the steering, when something jammed. "Marraius, something is jammed! I can't get the steering system to connect." cried Defani. Marraius checked the steering, but the controls were locked. He hit the emergency steering button, but dash shorted out. Now the entire steering system was broken. There was no way to control where the ship would go, and they were headed straight for the ocean. Marraius quickly fired the after-burners, but since there was no way to change the pitch, they did not slow down at all. They all stared listlessly as they headed straight for the black ocean. The impact shook the entire ship, as they went under. Then all the lights went out.

okay, i guess that is an add on to the last chapter. it might be kinda lame, i'm not sure.

  • Defani was worried about himself and his friends. They had been drifting for about threee months now. They were begining to run low on provisions and losing confidence. He looked back to a few weeks earlier, when their ship had encountered a strange ripple in space, which had sucked in their ship. If they could back out they could find food on Drexus6. But since they had been drawn through the strange warp hole, they seemed to be trapped in a uninhabitable galaxy. Just the day before, they had found a red planet possibly containing water. Once landing, they found large polar ice caps. They brought back many loads of the ice, but it would only last for so long. It also used too much feul to melt it all. They would have to find an inhabitable planet soon or they would die.

"Defani" said marraius, "You're to come to the main room immedeately." Defani got up and walked quickly to the main room. All the leaders were there waiting for him and standing around the holographic imager. A holographic image of a planet was floating in the air. There was water and scattered green continents. The clouds proved an oxygenated atmosphere. It was the planet they needed.

"As you can see" said Artheneous, "this planet is the one we have been searching for. the atmosohere is perfect, and there is water in many spots. In a few hours, our probe will come back with a complete analysis of the planet. Once we have a confirmation on the inhabitability of the planet, we will set course to land on this large jutting continent" he said pointing to a spot on the hologram. "Now, get some rest, for you will soon need it."

that is the fourth chapter. maybe. tell me if its too short.- Kirdan
